About the DBT Clinic

In addition to conducting an extensive body of treatment research, Marsha M. Linehan, the developer of Dialectical Behavior Therapy spent much of her career at the University of Washington training graduate students. Her training clinic was able to increase equity in treatment accessibility by providing services to individuals who may not have had the resources to access this life-saving treatment otherwise. The newly established Marsha M. Linehan DBT Clinic aims to continue her legacy of training advanced graduate students to deliver high-quality, compassionate, evidence-based treatment and working toward equity in mental healthcare.

The Marsha M. Linehan DBT Clinic is a training clinic located within the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington. It is separate from the DBT Clinic at the University of Washington Harborview Medical Center, located within the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
