Graduate studies in Psychology at the University of Washington are designed for students interested in a science and research-oriented program. Please read all information carefully before applying to determine whether our program is the right program for you, including a list of frequently asked questions. There is also a frequently asked questions for clinical admissions. You may also find some of the information for current graduate students helpful as you make your decision.

June 9, 2025: We do not require GRE scores for admissions. We will be updating our materials and processes for 2026 with intent to publish in late August 2025. Please check back here then!

Materials for the 2026 Admissions cycle (available in August):

  1. Admissions Application Newsletter: This is a guide to our application process, a required download. It explains each component of our application.
  2. UW Graduate School Application: All applicants to a UW graduate program must complete this online application and submit the application fee. You will be required to upload all of your application into this online process. Available: September 1, 2025 - Deadline: December 1, 2025. Be sure to select Autumn 2025 in the new application system.
  3. Application Checklist: The checklist is for both U.S. and International Applicants.
  4. Admissions Statistics Brochure: This brochure contains GPA statistics for our past 3 incoming cohorts, along with diversity recruiting information.
