Description

The Social Perceptions and Intergroup Attitudes (SPIA) Lab is recruiting undergraduate RAs to start in Fall 2026. Students will participate in research projects related to prejudice and social inequality. Please read through our lab website for more information on our research interests (https://depts.washington.edu/spia/). RAs will help with coding qualitative data, creating study materials, doing literature searches, pilot testing surveys, analyzing data, and other research-related tasks. Working in this laboratory is a great experience for students interested in graduate school in social psychology and other research-based careers.

To apply, please complete the application form on this page (https://depts.washington.edu/spia/apply-to-be-a-research-assistant/) and email it to Dr. Wilkins (claraw@uw.edu) and Huanchen Cai (caih42@uw.edu).

Minimum Requirements

RAs are expected to commit a minimum of 6 hours per week to the lab (can work remotely) for ideally two quarters (second quarter contingent upon performance). We prefer candidates who have completed PSYCH 209 or PSYCH 345.
