Description
The Family Processes and Child Development (FPCD) Lab is soliciting several research assistants (RAs) to support a review paper evaluating empirical, theoretical, and methodological bias in studies of mothers with substance use disorders. RAs will read and code empirical articles based on a previously developed article coding system to systematically assess lens, tone, and bias across articles. These roles require RAs to read extensive amounts of empirical studies, document and extract data/findings from articles, code results, and communicate findings with the research team. These RAs will also have opportunities to co-author the manuscript based on this project.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum commitment of 6 hours/week for 2 (preferably 3) quarters, with possible extension. Must commit to reading and evaluating multiple empirical articles per week, and keeping detailed notes. RAs will meet regularly with the PI/project coordinator. Prior research experience preferred but not required.
