Description
Interested in youth mental health, evidence-based interventions, and schools? Join the UW ALACRITY Center in Fall 2026 and gain hands-on experience working alongside research staff on active studies in school settings.The UW ALACRITY Center is a multidisciplinary team of experts who leverage human-centered design, education, and implementation science to uncover and overcome obstacles that prevent quality mental health treatments from reaching underserved communities. Current projects focus on redesigning and evaluating a 1) brief intervention for middle and high school students and 2) clinical trauma intervention for youth. Please note that you will not directly work in a clinical capacity.
Students can expect to contribute to NIMH-funded grants, work closely with research staff, and attend ongoing workshops to gain practical research skills.

Minimum Requirements
Have junior or senior standingCommit for Fall & Winter quarters
Register for 2-3 PSYCH 499 credits/quarter (6-9 hours/week)
Work 1 in-person shift/week at UW Health Sciences; remaining work may be remote
Begin the week of October 5, 2026
Attend ongoing 499 cohort workshops
Complete quarterly evaluations
PSYCH 209 completed/current enrollment (strongly encouraged)
Interest or experience in youth/school mental health is valued but not required
