Description

The overall aim of the REACT Study is to create and assess smartphone-based cognitive tasks to examine how acute alcohol intoxication affects attention. We will be evaluating these tasks in a controlled laboratory session in which young adults are administered a standard dose of alcohol, and real-world drinking experiences over eight weekends, as measured with phone surveys and a wrist-based alcohol biosensor. RAs will assist with testing phone-based surveys, recruitment and retention efforts, as well as running participants through a lab-based alcohol administration protocol. This study is funded by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

In Summer and Autumn 2024, we can offer 2-3 credits (6-9 hours/week).
