Description

Acculturation, Diversity, and Psychopathology Team (ADAPT) (see sites.uw.edu/adapt206) is recruiting research-minded, curious, and conscientious students to assist in a multi-year, multi-site, multi-method study on stressors and resilience, and substance use among African American/Black young adults.

We welcome students from underrepresented minority backgrounds, who are interested in the Psychology Honors program, and who are considering graduate school training. Given the nature of the study and importance of community-engaged practices, experiences working with the communities of interest are desired and prioritized. Students will be assisting with data cleaning, entry, transcription, and coding, and preliminary analysis that will benefit the community and generate important future research directions.

Minimum Requirements

Must commit to one full year and minimum of 6 hours/week; must be able to attend lab meetings weekly on Tuesdays at 5-630pm during the academic year

Desired: completed PSYCH209, PSYCH 315, 317, or 318, and GPA 3.5; prior experiences with communities of interest
