Description

The overarching objective of this project is to investigate potential cognitive mechanisms underlying hazardous drinking in young adults. We are preparing to run a clinical trial that will test whether a narrative writing task can reduce risks of hazardous drinking during the transition out of high school.

During the spring quarter research assistants will have the opportunity to serve as experimenters and they will play an important role in acting as a point of contact and retaining participants. Research assistants will also assist with measurement testing, data management and analysis, and other administrative tasks.

Minimum Requirements

**Evening availability required (3-8 PM)**
**Spring and summer availability required**

Prior research experience is not necessary; we are looking for someone who is research-minded and hardworking who is eager to learn and assist in the ins and outs of launching a longitudinal study.

We are looking for a commitment of 6 hours per week for two consecutive quarters.

**Attendance to weekly virtual lab meetings (Wednesdays 3-4PM) is required.**
