Description
The overarching objective of this project is to investigate potential cognitive mechanisms underlying hazardous drinking in young adults. We are preparing to run a clinical trial that will test whether a narrative writing task can reduce risks of hazardous drinking during the transition out of college.During the summer quarter research assistants will have the opportunity to serve as experimenters and they will play an important role in acting as a point of contact and retaining participants. Research assistants will also assist with survey testing, data management, and other administrative tasks.
Minimum Requirements
Prior research experience is not necessary; we are looking for research-minded and hardworking students who are eager to learn and assist in the ins and outs of running a longitudinal study. We are looking for a commitment of 6 hours per week for two consecutive quarters.
**Attendance to weekly virtual lab meetings (Wednesdays 3-4PM) is required during the academic year.**
