Accepting RAs to start Summer/Autumn 2024.

The Psychology Undergraduate Mentoring Program increases community and belonging for psychology students who are members of underrepresented groups by matching them in a mentoring relationship with other students, faculty, and alumni.

We are looking for an RA who is organized, responsible, detail-oriented, and proactive. Duties include:

-Participant matching (mentors and mentees) and communication
-Create and maintain community among participants
-Collect, analyze, and interpret survey data
-Organize and summarize literature searches related to best practices in mentoring
-Find and organize professional development resources
-Work with advisory board to organize events (1-2 per quarter)

Opportunities will be available for conducting research and presenting it at the UW Undergraduate Research Symposium.

Minimum Requirements

Experience working with Excel; strong (3.5+) GPA in Psych 209.

Preferred qualifications: advanced knowledge of Excel; successful completion of at least one psych statistics course (315, 317, 318), experience with literature searches and survey research; project management skills; experience organizing and communicating with large groups; passionate about social justice and the goals of the mentoring program.
