Description
The UW Center for the Science is recruiting new research assistants! Our research focuses on interpersonal relationships and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP). Specifically, we seek to examine the impact of FAP-based behavioral interventions that target increased social connection on loneliness and psychopathology using mixed methods. (See current websites: http://www.socialconnection.uw.edu/ and https://functionalanalyticpsychotherapy.com/)We are looking for research-minded, curious, and hard-working students to join us for an upcoming study and future projects. You may be trained to conduct an experimental study, co-lead therapy-based groups, create surveys, code, enter and manage data, learn to conduct literature reviews and more.
We particularly welcome students from underrepresented minority backgrounds, students who are interested in the Psychology Honors program, and students who are considering graduate school training.

An ideal candidate is an individual who is excited about interpersonal connections and intervention research, responsible, and willing to learn new things. Candidates should be comfortable with being vulnerable with others and responding to others' self-disclosures.Psych 209 recommended.
