Short Project Description

We are exploring infants’ and toddlers’ responses to other people's emotional expressions, with the aim of determining what they understand about other people's feelings. Psychology 499 students will schedule appointments with parents via phone. 499s will also assist with data collection and childcare as needed. Work Schedule

Min. number of hours/weekstudent must work: 6
Evenings/weekends OK? No
Times a student must bepresent/work: Students MUST be available on weekday mornings. We test infants 9am-2pm. In addition, students need to have at least 2 hour blocks of time available. The lab is located behind UW medical center, so it is at least a 10 minute walk to and from main campus.
Student commitment: Preferably two quarters.

Skills / Experience Preferred

Experience with young children is preferred, but not essential. Comfort with talking to parents on the phone (to schedule appointments) is required.
