Center for Child and Family Well-Being (CCFW) receives $2.6M gift from the Ballmer Group
The CCFW received a gift from the Ballmer Group to promote the well-being of children, youth, parents, and the professionals who work with them.
The $2,600,000 gift will be used to share evidence-based prevention practices with communities that are often underserved. Using a train-the-trainer approach, community providers are trained to offer prevention interventions or to incorporate cognitive behavioral and mindfulness practices from prevention programs into their work to support child, youth, and family well-being. CCFW aims to equip community providers with tools and resources that can reduce the future need for intensive clinical services. The CCFW team and director, Liliana Lengua, wish to thank the Ballmer Group for investing in the mental health of Washington state's children, families and community providers.
