Jane Simoni and her grad student Liying Wang received an eight-month, award from UW Population Health Initiative, Tier 1 Pilot Grant program. The award title is Turning to Sunshine: Developing a CBT-Based Depression and Adherence mHealth Intervention for HIV-positive Men Who Have Sex with Men (MSM) in China Using a Community-based Participatory Approach. This project will address the urgent mental health needs and health disparities among MSM by developing a mHealth intervention based on Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) to facilitate adaptive coping post-HIV diagnosis. It expands the partnership with a community-based organization in Shanghai, China.
