As quoted by Jeanny Mai - On Wednesday, January 28, also known as National Have Fun at Work Day, 4 members of the Psych Department headed to Husky Stadium to participate in breaking a Guinness World Record for World's Largest Umbrella Dance.
Joanne Edwards, Michele Jacobs, Jeanny Mai, and Jacquie Pickrell joined over 1,700 Dawgs in this challenge, by dancing to "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift with Whole U umbrellas and dressed in matching purple shirts. Coach Marti Young led several practice sessions for the massive group which lead to the final recorded routine (which we completed four times over since everyone was so amped!) to be submitted to Guinness World Records. In 8wks time, we will know whether the World Record has been broken, it was sure fun!
