Dr. Peter Vitaliano, Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, and Adjunct Professor of Psychology and of Health Services Research, has received the 2005 Award for Distinguished Contributions to Research from the Association of Medical School Psychologists (AMSP) at the American Psychological Association annual meeting in Washington, D.C.
Dr. Vitaliano was honored for his career contributions to the study of stress in illness, and especially its impact upon caregivers. He will deliver an address on his research at the 2006 meeting of the American Psychological Association.
