Master of Arts in Applied Child & Adolescent Psychology: Prevention & Treatment

The Master of Arts in Applied Child & Adolescent Psychology: Prevention & Treatment program prepares students for careers providing clinical prevention and intervention services to children and adolescents in just 15 months. Training in the use of evidence-based treatment programs for improving children’s mental health outcomes, we combine coursework with real-world experience through clinical mental health internships.

Our students are trained by nationally recognized experts in child psychology affiliated with our Departments of Psychology, Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, and our Center for Child & Family Well-Being. Graduates go on to work in a wide range of settings including schools, community organizations, and health care facilities. Our program also provides a pathway for licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington.
